This sculpture is made from a white Cedar slab cut from a dead cedar tree on the Dorrigo Plato on the mid north coast of Australia. Iv carved deeply into it to represent sand as water runs over it. Three beachstones are embedded into the timber and it looks like the water runs around them. To bring the ripple lines out a bit extra i have oxidised the timber just to add a bit of colour contrast.

It is suspended on two steel rods each side and is on a hardwood plinth.
